Joel 2
(In the day of the Lord)
Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Joel 2

1Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; Joel 2:31The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

The darkening of the sun and moon are the result of a large close comet's effect on our atmosphere. That is one sign in the heavens that the day of the Lord is at hand, That the end of the age is approaching.

2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. This comet caused darkness was also in Egypt at the time of the Exodus.

Exodus 10

21 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.

22 And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:

3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them. In chapter five of Worlds in Collision Velikovsky uses eight pages to illuminate these verses. His title is The Terrible Ones.
4 The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run. Velikovsky often points out that past large (near) comets have taken the appearance of various animals. The comet tails are of various shapes. It is somewhat like looking at the clouds and seeing various shapes. At the time of the Exodus, to many people, the comet Venus looked like a cow. (Imagine a crescent moon with a tail.) When the manna was dissolved in water it looked and tasted like milk. People worshiped this great celestial 'cow'.

1 Chronicles 21:16 And David lifted up his eyes, and saw the angel of the LORD stand between the earth and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders of Israel, who were clothed in sackcloth, fell upon their faces.

In 1 Chronicles a comet looked like an angel with a sword in his hand. The comet's tail looked like a sword. As we learned earlier God has power over these comets and that his ability to control them makes them his messengers. Recall from the prior web page concerning 2 Peter 3, verses 5 and 7.

5 - that by the word of God the heavens were of old

7 - by the same word are kept in store.

In Revelation we have the four horseman. Perhaps four comets looking like horses. Or perhaps one large comet with four satellite comets. Velikovsky mentions that, when Mars came close to the Earth in Old Testament times it's two satellites Phobos and Deimos were visible and called the steeds of Mars. See chapter five of Worlds in Collision.

5 Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.

6 Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.

7 They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:

8 Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.

9 They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.

Again: In chapter five of Worlds in Collision Velikovsky uses eight pages to illuminate these verses. His title is The Terrible Ones. Here we have a meteor shower.

This does not eliminate human soldiers invading the land also. In these times of great distress populations migrate about the planet and make war when they meet. Like Israel entering the promised land and making war with the Canaanites.

A meteor shower army defeated the Assyrian army saving the Israelites in Jerusalem.

A blast upon him.

2 Kings 19:7 Behold, I will send a blast upon him, and he shall hear a rumor, and shall return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.

10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining: Again. This comet affects the atmosphere darkening the sky and making it so we can not see the stars.
11 And the LORD shall utter his voice* before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

2 Peter 3,5 & 7

*5 - that by the word of God the heavens were of old

*7 - by the same word are kept in store.

2 Kings 19:34 For I (God) will defend this city, to save it, for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.

2 Kings 19:35 And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.

Here is 2 Kings God defended Jerusalem by destroying the Assyrian army with a meteor shower, a 'blast'.

12 Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: Here we have a call to repentance just as in 2 Peter 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

skipping to verse 27

27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
At the Exodus, while God acted to save Israel he did not save Egypt.
30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

Exodus 2

31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call. Has any clergyman ever told you that "that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be saved: " is in the Old Testament? Has any clergyman ever told youthat this verse is a quotation from Joel? Has any clergyman ever told you that it has to do with The Day of The Lord?

Askyourself, is the present use of this phrase by the Judeo-Christian clergy a deception? Does the Bible say "get saved' or "get baptized"?

13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

Joel 2:14 Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?

Joel 2:15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:

Joel 2:16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.
Zephaniah 2:3 Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD'S anger.

"and repenteth him of the evil" It doesn't have to end this way. All we have to do is obey the commands and instruction he has already given through Moses.

17 Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God? Did any Judeo-Christian clergyman ever tell you that modern day Zion is the United States? That God will both punish and defend us?
18 Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people.

19 Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:
With each passing day the White Man in America is made more and more a reproach.

"and and I will no more make you (the White man) a reproach among the heathen (minorities):

Deuteronomy 28:43 (Because of the White Man's sin) The stranger (minorities) that is within thee (America) shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.

America has no guards on its borders and aliens are flooding in to take over.

Deuteronomy 28:52 And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the LORD thy God hath given thee.

Summary: Many Bible events both past and prophesied for the future involve disturbances in the the solar system including the planet Earth and its orbit about the sun.

A 'new heavens' means a new star map of the sky, The stars are the same but they are in a different place. (The Earth's axis of rotation may have changed it's tilt. Days and years may be longer or shorter. The moon's orbit changed.)

A 'new earth' means that these planet wide catastrophes reshape the map. Some land sinks beneath the sea. Some new land rises from the sea. Volcanoes, floods and earthquakes reshape the land.

Looking backward in time.

10. The present. The End of the Age / Day of the Lord is yet future.

9. The sun going back ten degrees in the days of Hezekiah - 2 Kings 20 and Isaiah 38. (Mars close approach according to Velikovsky.)

8. The destruction of Assyria's army via meteorites in 1 Kings 19. (Another Mars close approach according to Velikovsky.)

7. The sun and moon standing still in the days of Joshua. (Another Mars close approach according to Velikovsky.)

6. The Exodus plagues, dividing of the Red Sea, manna etc.. (Venus as a comet, and before it became a new planet in our solar system, made a close approach to Earth and changed Mars orbit according to Velikovsky.)

5. End of the Age - The flood of Noah. Noah told to repopulate the Earth. (The water came from the Earth's passing through the tail of a comet according to Velikovsky and McCanney)

4. End of the Age - Genesis 1 "The earth was without form and void." .Mankind was created and told to repopulate the Earth.

Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

The future Day of the Lord/End of the Age could return this planet to a condition similar to that of the Earth at the time of Genesis. Lifeless and in ruin!. Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3,2,1,0 Ecclesiastes 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

What does a farmer do after harvest?

Revelation 14:15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

Question: What does a farmer do after the harvest?

Answer: He plows the field under.

Matthew 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

If you are alive at that time, will you be like the tares, burnt and plowed under? or gathered into his barn?

Joel 2:32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.
