The pubic is led to believe that Christians and religious people do not belong in government. That Clergy are not to speak out from the pulpit about political issues.

 

   Moses was the head of the nation's government. (Aaron was the High Priest and head of the church.)

 

   Joshua succeeded Moses as governor of Israel.
