This is a study of the dates mentioned in the Bible and whether they have any prophetic significance for today.

The Feast of Tabernacles
God's annual vacation for believers.

Financing these holidays: The average American family spends approximately 10% of its annual incomes on Christmas. There are Christmas savings clubs. Those who do not save often spend most of the year paying off Christmas time credit card debt.

God has thought of everything. There are instructions for financing these vacation days called God's Feast Days.

Deuteronomy 14

22 Thou shalt truly tithe* all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.

While clergymen preach tithing they fail to tell you that there are three tithes.

The tithes they do not mention are the tithe mentioned in verse 22 above and another that is called 'the third tithe'

But this 'third' tithe is only one year in three and it is used for charity. In fact the amount averages to be exactly the amount the United Fund calls 'your fair share'.

I am not recommending that you support the United Fund and it's liberal 'charities'. You already give more that a fair share via taxes. Taxes spent to support the state welfare programs that are properly the duty of the churches. But the churches have not done their duty and the State has taken over the job. If you are displeased with what the government is doing in the way of welfare, complain to the Judeo-Christian Clergy. It's their fault because of dereliction of duty.

This second tithe is like a Christmas savings club. You are to save 10% of your increase and use that money to pay for your own vacation. You are to spend this money on yourself. But if you have extra you can not use it to buy furniture etc. The extra is to be given to those who need help paying the cost of attending these Holidays.

23 And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.

24 And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:

25 Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:

First class hotels and steak dinners.

26 And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,

27 And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.

28 At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, (only once in three years) and shalt lay it up within thy gates: (This verse has to do with the third tithe for charity mentioned above.)

The excess tithe mentioned above is spent here in verse 27 & 29.

29 And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.
